What to expect at your appointment
At In One Imaging, we strive to make your visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Our friendly staff will guide you through every step of your imaging appointment.
- Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete any necessary paperwork.
- Bring your referral letter from your GP or specialist — this is required for all imaging services.
- Bring your Medicare card and any private health insurance details.
- Inform our staff of any allergies, previous reactions to contrast agents, or relevant medical history.
- You may be asked to change into a gown depending on the type of scan.
- A family member or carer is welcome to accompany you.
How to Prepare
Preparation guides for each scan type
Preparation varies depending on the type of scan. General guidelines are below — our team will provide specific instructions when you book.
CT Scan
You may be asked to fast for 4 hours if contrast is required. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Ultrasound
Abdominal ultrasounds often require fasting. Pelvic scans may require a full bladder. We'll advise at booking.
X-Ray
No special preparation is usually required. Remove jewellery and metal objects from the area being imaged.
DEXA / BMD
Avoid calcium supplements for 24 hours before. Wear comfortable clothing without metal zips or buttons.
Payments & Billing
Medicare, private health & fees
In One Imaging is committed to making diagnostic imaging affordable and accessible to all patients.
- Bulk billing is available for eligible Medicare card holders for most standard imaging services.
- Private health insurance may cover a portion of your imaging costs — check with your fund.
- Out-of-pocket fees may apply for certain specialised or non-Medicare services.
- We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, and Mastercard.
- Payment is due on the day of your appointment.
- Please bring your Medicare card and referral to ensure billing can be processed correctly.

Access your imaging results online
Your imaging results are reviewed and reported by our experienced radiologists. Here's how to access them:
- Results are typically available within 24–48 hours of your appointment.
- Your referring doctor will receive a copy of the report directly.
- You can access your images and report via our online Results Portal.
- For urgent results, our radiologists will contact your referring doctor directly.
- If you have not heard from your doctor within 3 business days, please follow up with their practice.
