About MRI
Clarity without compromise
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnetic fields and radio waves to produce exceptionally detailed images of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all internal body structures. It is one of the most versatile and accurate diagnostic tools available today — and unlike X-ray or CT, it uses no ionising radiation at all.
At inOne Imaging, our MRI service pairs advanced imaging technology with subspecialist radiologist reporting, delivering precise diagnostic answers and a calm, supportive patient experience across our Melbourne locations.
Why inOne MRI
A premium imaging experience
Exceptional image clarity
High-field magnets deliver remarkably detailed soft-tissue images — revealing subtle changes that other modalities can miss.
Completely radiation-free
MRI uses harmless magnetic fields and radio waves instead of ionising radiation, making it safe for repeat and follow-up imaging.
Subspecialist radiologists
Your scan is reported by fellowship-trained radiologists with dedicated expertise in neuro, musculoskeletal and body imaging.
Advanced sequences
We offer the full range of MRI including diffusion, perfusion and angiography techniques for precise diagnostic answers.

How to prepare
- 1Remove all metal items — jewellery, watches, hairpins, piercings and hearing aids before entering the scan room.
- 2Tell us about any implants, pacemakers, cochlear devices or metal fragments — some require additional screening.
- 3You may be asked to fast for 4 hours before an abdominal or pelvic MRI.
- 4Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing without metal zips, buttons or underwire.
- 5Scans typically take 30–60 minutes — remain as still as possible for the clearest images.
- 6Bring any previous imaging or referral letters for comparison.
- 7Let us know if you're pregnant, claustrophobic or anxious — we offer options to help you feel at ease.
